INTRODUCTION

Grandbeing’s SP0202-HU1 is a two inputs and tow outputs HDMI repeater while using CAT-5E cable as transmission media. Each unit has two inputs. The default input is CAT-5E input while the HDMI input has the priority. It could automatically switch to the active input. The two outputs have the same signal simultaneously.

If only two units are used, they are HDMI extender by single UTP LAN cables (CAT-5E/CAT6). Over two units of SP0202-HU1 could be used to build a network. Such a network could extend the HDMI signal up to several hundreds meters without quality loss, and all the TVs that are connected will show the same image. All the transmission media is by UTP LAN cables. It is useful to a High Definition Information Display System such as Digital Signage.

Benefits from using SP0202-HU1：
1) The length of HDMI cable is fixed and unchangeable after it is produced. Because the HDMI connector can only be soldered or terminated by professional worker in factory, the users can not reduce or increase by themselves. However CAT-5E cables are available everywhere and be processed easily by the user or installer.
2) When cabling in hidden method, because the header of long HDMI cable and the cable itself are relatively big. So it is not easy to bend the HDMI cable and pull it through the in-wall tube or tray. However, CAT-5E cable has no such problem.
3) By using SP0202-HU1, the transmission distance for 1080P reaches 30 meters, 40 meters for 1080i. For general HDMI cables, cables must be customized when the length is over 10 meters.

CONNECT AND OPERATION

The SP0202-HU1 is usually used in pairs and can be cascaded to achieve long distance transmission.
1. Connect the HDMI input sources (such as HD-DVD, PS3, STB etc.）into SP0202-HU1.
2. Connect the two or more SP0202-HU1s one by one using CAT-5E cables. (STP LAN cable is prefer. )
3. Connect the HDMI output( such as HD-LCD, HD-DLP）into SP0202-HU1.
4. Connect the power supply into SP0202-HU1 and turn on the display you want to watch.
